  • Architect and co-developer for "TrackIt" jQuery plugin

TrackIt dramatically simplifies implentation of client-side tracking solutions such as Omniture and Google Analytics. Using event delegation and by consolidating tracking parameters and logic to a single XML file, TrackIt prevents tracking code from hellishly polluting application logic and markup. The plugin also eases cooperation between development and metrics teams, who can coordinate specification and testing around one, human-friendly XML file.

Microsoft MSDN Magazine

Freelance developer for MSDN/Technet Magazine web publishing team.

Built web application to automate translation of MSDN Magazine articles from Indesign files to CMS-ready XML documents. MSDN magazine had employed a developer to manually cut and paste articles layed out in Indesign to XML, for posting on the web via their CMS. This laborious process took 2 weeks for a single magazine. I built a .NET application which used the Indesign API to crawl the files, extract content and output XML, reducing the task from weeks to hours.
